Ayla Foy Back to the series

The Ayla Foy Reader Team

Read it before anyone else.

A small group of romance readers who get my books early, in full, before they are published. No cost, no obligation, and no requirement to review.

How it works

The whole arrangement, in five lines

  • You get a complimentary advance copy of the book, complete and copyedited, before it goes on sale. Sent by email, in whichever format suits your reader.
  • A review is completely optional. If you choose to review, I want your honest opinion and nothing else, whatever the rating turns out to be.
  • I will never ask you to change a review, to post only if you enjoyed it, or to tell me privately instead of posting. Those things are against the rules and I would not want them anyway.
  • Nothing is ever sent except the book. No payment, no vouchers, no gifts. That is what keeps a review a review.
  • You can leave at any time, and you can skip a book without explaining yourself. A quiet month is not a problem.

Why there is an application rather than a button

A slow burn is not for everybody, and a reader who wanted the kiss by chapter three has a bad evening and I get a review that helps nobody. The questions below are about what you like to read. There is no right answer and nothing is being scored.

The Version You Kept

The Version You Kept, After the Noise Book One, by Ayla Foy

After the Noise · Book One

A famous name, an ordinary jacket, and a guitar case he has not opened.

Dean Mace sold out two nights in a row and then stopped. Savannah Brenner is an equine sports medicine vet who has never heard of him. He is in recovery, she is in the middle of a working season, and neither of them is looking for this.

The manuscript is finished and has been through a full copyedit. It does not have a release date yet, which is exactly why I want readers on it now.

Full-length, around 87,000 words Contemporary romance Slow burn One open-door scene Happily ever after

Content note, please read before applying

Dean is in recovery, and addiction and recovery run through the whole book rather than sitting in the background. There is no on-page drug use in the present day. If that subject is difficult for you right now, this is the wrong book and no explanation is needed.

If you do decide to review

Two things that keep it above board

On Goodreads, say you had an early copy

Goodreads welcomes reviews of unpublished books and asks reviewers to disclose a free copy. One line anywhere in the review does it.

“I received an advance copy from the author.”

On Amazon, only after it is published

Amazon does not accept reviews before a book is on sale, and it does not accept them from friends, family or close personal connections.

If we know each other personally, Goodreads is the right place and I am just as glad to see it there.

Apply

Tell me what you like to read.

A minute or two, and only one question needs more than a tap. I read every one of these myself.

This is where the book would be sent.

This book has one open-door love scene. The rest is tension.

My earlier books are 25,000-word novellas. This one is three times that.

Where do you usually talk about books?

Tick anything that applies, or nothing at all. “I just read” is a completely acceptable answer and will not count against you.

Optional, and the most useful question here. It tells me more than the rest put together.

Thank you. That is with me. I read applications myself, so a reply takes a few days rather than a few minutes.

Your answers are used to match you to the right book and nothing else. They are never sold or shared. You can ask me to delete them at any time at hello@aylafoy.com. Privacy policy.
