Privacy Policy

This is a small website for one author's books. The short version: if you give me your email address, I use it to send you the free chapter and to tell you when a new book is out. I do not sell it, and you can leave whenever you like.

What I collect

Only your email address, and only if you type it into one of the forms on this site. There is no account, no password, and no other field.

If analytics is running on this site, it records anonymous information about visits, such as which pages were viewed and roughly which country the visit came from. It does not identify you.

Why I collect it

• To send you the free first chapter you asked for.
• To tell you when the next book in The Cold Open Series is released.
• Occasionally, to share bonus scenes or early access with subscribers.

That is the whole list. You will not get anything else.

Who else can see it

My email list is hosted by MailerLite, who store the address on my behalf and send the emails. They do not use it for their own purposes. The site itself is hosted by Netlify.

I do not sell, rent, trade or share your email address with anyone else, for any reason.

How long I keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until you ask me to delete it. If you unsubscribe, MailerLite keeps a record that you did so, which is what stops you being added again by mistake.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email I send. It works immediately.
• Ask for a copy of what I hold about you, which is your email address and the date you signed up.
• Ask me to delete it and I will, and I will confirm when it is done.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics is running, it may set a single anonymous cookie to avoid counting the same visit twice.

Children

These are books for adults, and the mailing list is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
